Good month so far?
Yes? Good.
No? Well, make it better.
Quick thought…
Do whatever you can to avoid boredom.
When I’m bored, I lose track of my goals.
I distract myself by eating things I shouldn’t eat or scrolling social media.
Luckily it hasn’t led me to more negative tendencies given my obsessive personality.
But the worst thing if you’re like me is to not have stuff to do.
If you’re done working for the day, go to the gym.
If you’re Sunday is wide open, go spend time with friends and family.
Do whatever you can to fill your calendar unless you have immense self-control.
I know few people who stick to their goals when they’re bored watching Netflix every night.
I’ve been there.
And I didn’t hit my goals.
End of story.
Don’t forget to forward this to your homie, or your baby mama.
Projects
Novel Ice Cream - We’re in our busy season right now and both shops have been poppin'.
I’ve got the lease in my inbox for location 3 so just need to get that finalized and we’re ready to go.
The buildout process is grueling.
Especially for someone who likes to move quickly.
It’s out of my control.
Still looks to be around 2 months on that.
Novel #4 is on pause.
The current tenant had a change of heart last weekend and is rethinking whether they want to leave the space.
I know we’ll get this one signed.
It’s just a matter of when right now.
Remix Coffee - You're the first to know the name …
Tyler (our electrician) is getting everything wired in by tonight so we can start ordering products and finalizing the menu.
This is the most exciting piece of it.
I’m looking forward to presenting it to the people.
Here’s a visual of the space:
2nd Acquisition - Did review a CIM last week so no progress here.
When I have a few deals to review, I’ll share them with you here.
Food Hall - This project will be a slow mover over the next 24 months.
Once the lease on Novel #4 is signed, the entire property is out of probate, and I exercise the option to purchase, I’ll start bringing experts out to the property to begin the buildout plans.
Community - I hosted my first meetup at Meanwhile Brewery in Austin this weekend.
We had a good group of about 20.
Met some very talented people.
There’s a need for a community like this out there.
I’m excited to build that.

Podcast
Scott Gallaway is a top talent in many ways.
I’ve enjoyed his podcast since finding it late last year.
If you like investment and general business breakdowns, you’ll enjoy this.
He’s been on a handful of other podcasts such as My First Million that are great too.
Video
Here’s a good 2 hours mix of background music to vibe to this week.
Health
So, we did the thing.
First marathon ✔️
I underestimated this challenge.
I was naive and thought I could move through this with little training.
I didn’t start running until November of 2023.
I planned to run 5-7 miles a day leading up to the marathon and just “get it done”.
Moreso to see what running a marathon is like.
It’s been my approach to a first-time challenge but I’m starting to dislike this.
I’m very competitive and I’m not tapping into that side of me when I do things just to “get it done”.
So after a brutal marathon finish on Sunday, I’m gonna take training for LA seriously.
I’m following the plan and avoiding In N Out at 11 pm.
My nutrition is dialed and I’m paying more attention to what and how much I’m eating.
After my bodybuilding show in April last year, I regained all the weight I had lost for it.
Not a good feeling.
But even more reason to get it together.
I’m less than a month out.
LFG.
