Projects
Things are moving fast…
Partnerships, expansion, operation improvements, etc.
With no middle management, it can be difficult but we’re getting it done.
Update(s) for the week:
New delivery manager hired for Tues-Thurs
Partnership with Thai Chili 2 Go launches Sunday, 7/21 f or National Ice Cream Day
Promoted team member to manage Peoria shop
Novel #3 (Trailer)Permiting with the city is good to go for now but bad news with the state…
They are treating the trailer as a permanenet structure which means we may have to hook water and sewer up to permanent supply versus doing manual hookups every morning.
This may push our timeline by a few days/weeks and increase costs depending on what needs to be done.
Thankfully the electrical is hooked up and we’ve got AC.
Working inside without it in the Arizona heat was brutal.
Our new team members (10) not including our manager are officially training with our team in Phoenix.
Novel #4 (Truck) - No updates this week.
Just waiting on equipment to arrive for the team to install.
Once I get delivery confirmation I’ll book my trip to Texas to meet with them.
Here’s my Novel power list (a mix of short and long-term projects):
Novel #3 (Trailer):
Finalize city and state permits
Get it inspected
Install wheel skirt, a cage around electrical equipment, and final interior things
Order final products
Create social content and marketing plan for grand opening
Novel #4 (Truck)
Reach out to property owners in Avondale
The truck would be stationary from Tuesday through Thursday and mobile from Friday through Sunday
Met with a team member from the City of Avondale to identify some potential spaces - stayed tuned.
We had our best week yet!
Close to $1k in sales in the 4 days that we’re open.
Update(s) for the week:
Launching Doordash tomorrow morning
Creating content to build brand awareness
Reworking the menu
Check out the menu here and let me know what you think
Updated shop hours to 7am-3pm, Thursday-Sunday until Sept
Will add a 7pm-3am shift starting first week of Sept
Hired 3 new team members (2 starting this week)

Improve the product quality
Bring on Grubhub and UberEats
VEER CONCEPTS
I met with the 5 unit coffee company owner yesterday so I’ll report next steps after I chat with a potential partner about the deal.
We plan on rolling this up into an existing muli-unit coffee company out of Iowa that he is acquiring by the end of this month.
Update(s) for the week:
Health + wellness center and bakery projects in Peoria are on hold
Was approached to purchase a 5 location cookie business that I will review financials for next week
If you’re interested in any of these projects, let me know…
