Happy late Thanksgiving,
Hopefully, you took a second to be thankful for everything you have.
I’ll go…
I’m thankful for my wonderful family and the support I get every single day from them.
And for this solid meal they put together for us:
What are you thankful for?
I’d love to hear from you.
If you’re new here, I share BTS (behind-the-scenes) of everything I’m working on and provide a space to meet talented people through my community, ParkSMB.
I don’t run ads or sell anything, so I have one ask…
Please share this with one person.
Do it before you read any further…

Projects
If you didn’t read the last one, go here first.
Curated won’t always make sense without going back in time.
Another solid 2 weeks of operation in the books.
We’ve made some personnel changes, and the policy updates I mentioned were recently implemented.
I’m sending out an official shop manager protocol this week so our 3 shop managers have a very clear understanding of what their role entails as we tie more responsibility to it.
We also went through a rough week with our 4th setup—our mobile truck.
It’s currently in the shop with generator issues, so we hope to have that backup and running in the next few weeks.
We also looked at how we can better utilize the truck and decided on making it stationary in one or two locations for as many days as possible unless there is a prepaid event scheduled. (just like we did in Peoria but Peoria does not have an event component).
These events typically land on a Saturday or Sunday so we can have a consistent Tuesday through Friday retail schedule.
I’ve already made several phone calls to brokers and am connecting with property owners through December to push for a January/February launch.
I have one broker + owner interested in giving us a test run for 90 days to see how it performs and whether we operate as efficiently as we say we can.
I’m confident we’ll crush it but hey, it’s business… you never know until you do it.
In progress with the truck:
City and state permits
Just received notice that they still need time to review the permit
Retail location(s)
Pending the identification of the perfect location in the valley (entertaining Tucson as well)
Events
Will likely stick to Saturday and Sunday only events
Full-time manager
Rethinking my initial decision on the manager (back to the drawing table)

The shop is moving in the right direction. We’ve gotten solid feedback on our winter menu drop and our new sandwich - The Maven is crushing right now.
Like I’ve been saying - I’m committing to become a better branding/marketing director for my brands, and we’re taking it one step at a time.
It all starts on social media, and I’m convinced that nothing else really matters… especially in the F&B world.
So that’s my focus.

VEER CONCEPTS
Just focused on building my current brands and casting my vision for the Hospitality Fund.
This is going to be a very long and educational process so I’m looking forward to being present through this and learning what to do to effectively raise capital and build an investable management company.
If there’s interest in the above and/or you have experience in this world, please reach out. I’d be honored to speak with you.

If you’ve attended one of my many events, add your info to this sheet so everyone in the community can stay connected.
A new event has been born - Founder Co-Working.
Connecting founders in Arizona has been so rewarding.
Shoutout to Louis for co-hosting round 2 last week:
Good news is… it’s a bi-weekly thing now.
Another highlight that has come from focusing on community…
I got invited to run a Q&A for future business leaders at a local high school and can’t even explain how cool that was:
And as always, make sure to check out my 3 favorite people:

Health
I can’t wait for the Hyrox Sim on December 15 at Suffer City with Samson.
It’s gonna kick my ass, but I’ve never needed it more.
If you’ve been reading Curated since the beginning you’ve seen my ups/downs with fitness since completing my bodybuilding show last year.
The year leading up to that show was the most disciplined I had ever been, and I’ve been pushing to get back to that place for a while and I haven’t executed.
I’ve given myself excuse after excuse as to why it’s not sustainable, but getting back to that shape and maintaining a balanced lifestyle with diet and exercise is possible.
Since I’ve been slacking, the race will rock me enough to prove that I’m not in the shape I love being in.
I posted this a bit ago, but I now see that no matter how busy you get, you cannot lose sight of your fitness.
It will get to you.
And don’t forget to have fun:
